Windows Mobile Coming Soon

After a long development process it appears that finally Windows 8 mobile devices will receive the update to Windows 10 starting tomorrow.

Several online sources including PCWorld are publishing rumors that the delayed rollout will happen March 17th.  Most likely, the first wave of updates will appear for Lumia 640, 640XL devices and the like.

Having tested Windows 10 Mobile on the Insider Preview program I am not 100% sure this rollout will occur as being reported.  The software has improved greatly over the course of the preview but it still feels a little unfinished and there are some issues in my case that could be troubling for Microsoft’s PR.  I still suffer from random software crashes and features such as Call Block which appear as submenu options but the software/app is not functional on the phone.  I am using a Lumia 640 and do not appear to be the only one with issues according to the Feedback app inside Windows.

Will you be updating to Windows 10 Mobile or waiting a bit?  Has the long drawn out wait caused you to leave the platform altogether?  I’d be interested in hearing about it.
